Yuri Belyaev
He was born on August 28, 1947, in the village of Poltavka, Omsk Region, into a family of white-collar workers.
As a child, he moved with his parents to the town of Stupino in the Moscow Region. At the age of 16, he joined the Stupino Youth Theater Studio under the direction of O. A. Livanova.
After finishing school, he worked at a factory, served in the army, and held various jobs—including as a DOSAAF instructor, a janitor, and a loader in the production workshops of the Moscow Art Theatre (MKhAT) in Moscow.
In 1971, he enrolled in the Shchukin Theatre School (in the class of L. V. Stavskaya), graduating in 1975.
That same year, he joined the company of the Moscow Drama and Comedy Theatre on Taganka.
